“West Side Story” is a renowned musical that reimagines William Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy, “Romeo and Juliet,” within the backdrop of 1950s New York City. This captivating and poignant production, first brought to the stage in 1957, was a collaboration between Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, and Arthur Laurents.
