This iconic film was the winner of ten Academy Awards®, including Best Picture, in 1961; the most of any film as of that date. By 2010, new technology became available to allow us to create a version of this film with live music. Using new, proprietary software, Audionamix, extracted the orchestra sound from the film’s soundtrack, leaving the singing and dialogue intact. Chace Audio By Deluxe and Sync Sound then re-mastered the remaining audio to allow for the addition of the dynamic sound of a live symphony orchestra.  This allows us to now present a showing of the film with the orchestra music performed live!

Hear Leonard Bernstein’s electrifying score and memorable songs performed live by a symphony orchestra, complete with Stephen Sondheim’s lyrics sung by the singers that you love from the original soundtrack, while the newly re-mastered film is shown in glorious high definition on the big screen with the original vocals and dialog intact. This classic romantic tragedy, directed by Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins and one of the greatest achievements in the history of movie musicals, features Robbins’ breath-taking choreography and a screenplay by Ernest Lehman based on the masterful book by Arthur Laurents. Do not miss this unique, visceral experience! Click here for the performance schedule.
